WANDS weekly meet up every Thursday 7-
We are a support group for adults (18+) on the Neuro Diverse spectrum or who suspect that they may be on the spectrum i.e. Autism, Asperger's, ASD, ASC, ADHD, ADD, sensory processing disorder, etc. Specific learning disorders such as dyslexia, etc.
We offer a place that you can fit in and feel supported without feeling judged or looked down on.
Our main aim is to make friends, be creative, have fun but most importantly relax and allow you to be yourself. No formal diagnosis is needed. We have a laptop for Internet browsing, board games (chess, Scrabble, Uno, etc.) and Lego.
We have volunteers who can contact you if you are thinking of joining us but would like more information before you make a decision. Our volunteers will also meet you outside the venue if you are nervous of attending.
There’s a charge of £2 per person to cover our costs that includes tea, coffee and biscuits. We also have cans of soft drinks at 50p.

WANDS was launched in the early months of 2017 by Michael Hewitt, who only discovered the possibility that he was autistic three years earlier at the age of 79. He was determined to establish a social group in the Warrington area, and the group has helped many who have walked through its doors since then. In 2018, Michael handed the project over to Ann and Amanda, who now run proceedings each week.
WANDS is a warm, friendly and accommodating environment for autistic adults and their close supporters -
